Follow these instructions to set up your BigCommerce connector with SynchUP
The Required settings
There are six required settings when configuring your BigCommerce connector with SynchUP.
- Client Id
- Access Token
- Store Hash
Follow the steps outlined below to acquire these values in your BigCommerce environment
1. Create a Store-level API account
IMPORTANT! After clicking save, this is the ONLY time BigCommerce will display your API credentials. After navigating away from this screen you will not be able to retrieve these values again. Ensure you record these in a safe place
- Ensure you're logged into your BigCommerce store as an administrator
- Go to Settings > API > Store-level API accounts
- Choose Create API account on the page
- Fill out the following values
- For Token type select V2/V3 API token
- For Name fill out a descriptive name for your SynchUP integration
- For OAuth scopes give make the following selections
- Customers > modify
- Marketing > modify
- Orders > modify
- Order transaction > modify
- Create payments > create
- Get payment methods > read-only
- Stored Payment instruments > read-only
- Products > modify
- Store Locations > modify
- Store inventory > modify
- Fulfillment Methods > read-only
- Order Fulfillment > modify
- All other scopes may remain as None
- Click Save
- Record these values in a safe location
2. Store Hash
One of the values recorded above will be the API Path. You will need to derive the store hash from the url given. The URL is structured as follows:
- https://api.bigcommerce.com/stores/<storehash>/v3
- Record your derived Store Hash in a safe location
3. Complete Setup
You should now have the three necessary values to complete your BigCommerce Integration with SynchUP. If you're using an application that lets you record these values within SynchUP enter them now. If you're working with a Snapshot Integration Specialist to complete your integration, please give that person this information
